Xbox Acquisition |OT5| Talking Exclusively About Xbox Acquisitions

Project eve is looking good but they are locked to PS I think. After they showed their game off on the PS State of Play it looked good.

Shift Up make the Gacha game Destiny Child. A waifs collectathob tbh. But it shows how crazy these devs could scale from mobile to huge visual treats like this. Well tbf Destiny Child visually has a crazy good art direction.

I agree, theres a lot of talented studios in Asia outside of Japan, but I dont think ther are going to acquire in those countries any time soon.

This might be interesting?

At least the combat system

That game was announced as a PS4/Xbone/PC game… I’m waiting to see if Sony paid for the non-PS versions to be delayed or even cancelled. Have they done that yet? Bought exclusivity on a game that had platforms already announced? I know Deathloop had an older trailer but there was no platforms in it.

If the game looks good, there is always 70-80% that Sony will moneyhat the game. And it’s not gonna be 3 months time exclusivty.

I only question it because the trailer never said it’s exclusive and Sony ALWAYS makes sure to hammer that in.

Lol come on now

You know the answer !

Really like you thought on this as I agree completely. There are quite a few newer small studios popping up in the Asian markets that Xbox is hopefully looking to build strong relationships with for gamepass deals or possible acquisition down the line. Just a few examples.

Game science- Black Myth Wukong (China) Digital Sky- Project DT (China) Ultti Zero Games- Lost Soul Aside (China) Shift Up- Project Eve (South Korea)

Also I do believe I remember Phil and Matt Booty saying they wanted to diversify studio locations and this would be a great start along with India,South America, and Africa as currently there is not a lot of representation from these locations in Xbox first party. Purchasing studios in these areas and then growing them would benefit xbox’s growth potential and global reach immensely.

Yeah these Sega people are pretty good. 89 overall and 100% recomended. Sega just casually dropped a GOTY contender on Gamepass.

Been trying to remind people how much more Sega is than just Sonic… CA and Relic consistently put out some of the highest-selling, critically-acclaimed titles in their respective genres.

In all honesty, isn’t the least critically believed part of SEGA Sonic at this point? Even there his reputation is gaining more positivity due to the movie and the hopeful outlook for Frontiers.

Like, I don’t understand why anyone would look at the games they make and go “Nah, SEGA is not worth it.” Especially when they’re probably the least inexpensive “Major Publisher”.

I don’t hate Sega.

It’s only that I like almost every other publisher more.
