Im over here watching a ff14 stream. Yoship is supposed to give a livechat in january on next 10 years if nothing for xbox is announcded by then, i will start looking for a ps5,as loathe as i am about sony i love xbox but this gameits been like a year since played, i misss it so much. But they need swever help. I have followed all of yoship inteviews he’s never said what he said a month ago…makes me think ff14 will be announced with a strategic partnership. For help with azure and cloud etc. Endwalker launches tuesday and he will have more free team members to work on xbox port.
IPs are important but I think technology is also important. I don’t know before the acquisition if Insomniac Games or Sucker Punch Productions use in-house engine technology before acquisition. But their games were already looking great before they got acquired by Sony.
From independent studios, I remember Asobo, Techland, Crytek, Bungie have got in-house engines that looks great.
Its just my opinion but if people are really concerned about the ps service just because its going to bring games from ps1 to ps3(aswell psp)
I think that the best acquisition that xbox can make is sega, not only because they have iconic ips or talented studios, but also because they can bring their legacy, if they ever decide to work on the backwards compatibility system again, they could bring the dreamcast and saturn games, even if we go a little further from sega they could bring the neo geo cd, without buying snk obviously
Games got a do bettter than just look good, story, combat etc
For the people that claim that Nordisk absolutely wouldn’t sell, because they are continuing to invest in gaming.

I feel Dontnod would be cool and fill a niche in the lineup. I loved Tell Me Why and thought it was their #3 best game overall to me, but their highest quality game overall.
In the light of the most recent comments from Thomas Mahler, I’m pretty confident to claim there isn’t even the remote possibility of moon studios.
And what he says is one of the most delusional things, I’ve ever read on Resetera.

Probably depends on which studio, they may sell Netherelm or TT Games because they’re not really aligned with their cinematic universes.

When they allow full Game Pass ecosystem or the others reciprocate, go ahead. Otherwise, they are fucking over their platform for others. Which is something I’m not in favour other.
A one console future I’ve seen proposed a bajillion times is a terrible idea that benefits nobody. I’d rather buy a second console and put up with moneyhats, exclusivity and the other arguably “anti-consumer” stuff over the truly anti-consumer shit like price fixing, extreme price hikes and limitation of control over my data by going elsewhere.
Again, I like exclusivity, I don’t like moneyhats but I really don’t like monopolization. It would fuck over indies getting funded too.

To suggest you can earn more money as a normal publisher than a platform holder is just batshit crazy.
