Doubt it. However, if CoD sales are affected, they might. It is still strong.
They’re going to be under a plethera of lawsuits, negative press, lose their CEO, CFO. COD is doing terribly. They’ve mismanaged their studios and now have like a quarter of the games in development that they would traditionally. It’s real bad.
Kotick may not be going away soon- 300M for a golden kick-in-the-arse
I’d argue he’s costing them billions already
When I hear casual I think playful and playtonic. They would be awesome to get!
Hazelight raised my eyebrows with it takes two. They could do great things in the casual space
All the studios Xbox WILL get when they WILL buy Sega
For some casual mobile games MS should pick up Pokemon Go dev Niantic if they can. They have games, tech and studios in a bunch of places.
That’s the whole family thing, because they don’t want to have both sides throwing knifes at each other, Bungie was a lesson and also other closed studios.
hope they buy ubisoft and activision and put out all those sexist ceos
I stay on Take Two. For me this is Microsoft’s next big acquisition
-GTA San Andreas Day One in Gamepass
-Phil + Zelnick
-GTA is a social and casual game on the scale of a Candy Crush Saga
-Take Two has a lot of Technology in the Mocap and Microsoft has an unlimited portfolio so they can improve each other
- Max Payne / Max Payne 2 / Max Payne 3, Manhunt, Red Dead Revolver in the same batch BC
-Brad Sams who heard early this year that Microsoft was interested in another big name after Bethesda
-Jez Corden who overheard several of his sources tell him that Microsoft was interested in Take Two at the same time that Brad Sams said Microsoft was interested in another big name.
I don’t think we’ve seen Take Two so close to Microsoft in years.
I conclude with the fact that GTA Online is a Metaverse and that Satya Nadella is very interested in the Metaverse he talks about Minecraft, Halo, Flight Simulator like the Metaverse.
T2 gone to cost no less than 30 billion plus NBA 2K will stay multiplatform since it a sports game also GTA online will also stay multiplatform when you break it all down IDK if it worth it since your basically getting BioShock 4 and maybe GTA 6 being Xbox Console exclusive with GTA 6 being a huge question mark since it will be a a mega game like Minecraft level which stay Multiplatform on consoles
GTA VI would not be Multiplatform it would literally be the biggest springboard for Gamepass
Certainly enticing. RDR 3 too
Take two has too little of an output to warrant any kind of acquisition by anybody.
Still waiting to see how that 50/70+ games over the next few years works out for them.
Take-2: Puts out a critically panned remaster of a beloved trilogy. Said remaster is so cheap and dirty it’s been labeled “The New CP2077”. GTA V third re-release trailer is panned by critics and fans. GTA6 rumored to be in dev hell as brainchildren behind Rockstar depart company.
Activision: Kotick is literally a psycho sex-pest in a company rotten to the core. Main output depends on having several talented studios rotate off a stagnate and declining IP. Offshot company is also rotten to the core and has canceled or delayed huge upcoming titles for the foreseeable future.
XboxERA: Time to buy them!
How is this even a concern. GTA is the 1 AAA juggernaut on the planet and dare I say enough to sway away half of the casual fans of PS.
As for little output they had some dormant IPs that MS could revive by some teams within the company or XGS/bethesda.
It has nothing to do with GTA or anything for the matter. They dont put out enough games as a whole as a publisher to warrant any kind of 30B investment.
And I dont want any xbox studio working on no dormant Rockstar IP’s. I hate that argument for any new xbox studio.
Yeah, I don’t understand it…
There’s a TON of better options out there and people want Take Two…
I understand that GTA is a giant, but more than one big game I’d rather have various from more stable publishers.
People want Bethesda to pump more games faster while wanting Take Two that pumps 2 great games at best in a gen.
