We can finally put that conversation to rest. I really do hope that they’re making an MGS1 remake but it’d be neat if they were also finally able to work on a new IP as well.

Yep, so that first tweet must have been made before the ink was signed and BP went back for a higher price lol. Hardly surprising to anyone, even before the PS flub, and again the needle isn’t moved (this has no effect on Xbox before the FUD storm rolls in). BP helps Sony to continue pumping out remasters/remakes to milk their base, even if they want to make a new IP (as we’ve heard in the past), their position largely reflects that of Nixxes.

I wonder if the delay was because of the new IP, since they haven’t made original games. Maybe Sony wanted to see how it does before acquisition but Microsoft made an offer, forcing Sony’s hand?

They’ll probably all get remakes at some point though.
Good for Blue Point but putting a fresh coat of paint on things is entirely different from making a first party game so hope it goes well for them. Should have a good supporting cast with Sony.

eh I don’t know about that because its a proven strategy that seems to work, so don’t see that slowing down. The only way that slows down if Microsoft can get a good amount of market share which results in moneyhatting being too costly for Sony
