Yes. I did last August when I started this OT Frontier would be an amazing acquisition due to their longstanding relationship with Microsoft, and their diversity of IP/expertise. The Tycoon series and Elite alone would be well worth it. Tencent has a small minority stake but nothing that would stop a sale.
If Acid Nerve was thinking of expanding, I’d legit want MS to throw mad money at them before someone like Embracer come in and snatch em up lol. Death’s Door has personality, care and polish that outshine even some of the most successful AAA games out rn smh.
Acid Nerve and Neon Giant have gigantic potential, nurturing and acquiring them should take top priority.
I believe Sony has timed exclusivity on the inevitable console release.
You sure? Everything was shown off on switch?
I did. Their output would indeed be a good match for Xbox or Game Pass. Frontier and Xbox have done a lot of collaborations. They had prominent Xbox (timed) exclusive games and partnerships on new technologies like Kinect.
Because it sells very good on Xbox. Money is money.
There is no way that Microsoft would even hint at a buyout of that magnitude. No way. If this happens, it will come out of nowhere.
I have heard it’s actually legal trouble to tease acquisition of public companies like this. Either way, it’s not a tease for anything to begin with lmaoo so let’s chill.
The person/people who run Xbox’ social media accounts simply wouldn’t have anything but the most minimal advanced notice of something like that.
Giving me flashbacks of people saying Xbox bought SEGA because of the blue controller.
@AllianceOfficer was clearly having a bit of fun. People can do that here without always being uber serious or shutting others’ dreams/ideas down.
yeah didn’t a lot of bethesda employees say they only got to know about the acquisition on the day of the announcement? lol, these things can be mad secretive.
Ehh I’m not “shutting down dreams” of a goddamn Take Two acquisition lmao. It’s just that I often see these things snowball into a mess based on something so minor.
I now concur that @AllianceOfficer was likely just having fun, so it’s all good.
Should be a 7 IMO
when there is an air of acquisition it is difficult not to let it leak into the company.
tt out of 6,000 employees, no one has heard anything?
some rumor on twitter there would be some employee from the main office at least.
Yeah… Bethesda employees would beg to differ, and have.
Most employees have no clue what’s going on at the top of the company. It’s pretty normal tbh.
