You cannot be serious. This does no benefit to anybody and does more harm than good.
Bungie been gone for over a decade in Halo, their PVP in Destiny has been awful and Destiny aside from userbase is just eh?

Nah, Bungie is not gonna touch Halo. We have Staten and with him and 343, they will be fine. Bungie seems to have an ability in making new successful IPs if they do not abandon Xbox (khem khem Destiny 1)
This makes absolutely no sense. The people that “made” Halo what it is are no longer at Bungie, and I certainly don’t want Luke fucking Smith anywhere near Halo.

You are undervaluing GTA. If you combine all Square IP’s, GTA is still bigger. Also Red Dead, Civilization and Bioshock are massive franchises.

I maybe undervalue GTA (forgot about RD though), but for 20 bn T2 should promise something more than just GTA. Especially now when one of brothers left.

But the tweet I posted wasn’t for a video from DF?! It was Crytek literally comparing their remaster in a “360 vs Series X” style. with no mention or similar tweet about PS3 vs PS5.

That means nothing to me. it just means they started working on the Xbox version first. I don’t really care tbh, but saw Crytek tweet and found it odd and then remembered the acquisition rumors earlier this year.
Just wanted to point out to the other dude that I wasn’t being fanatic and making theories off of DF videos as he claimed.
DF in general has lost credibility in my eye or at least until certain someone leaves their team.

Just having Rockstar and 2k making exclusive games would attract a ton of casual players who think videogames = playstation. That’s who imo Xbox should try to appeal most.

Like I said a million times, I don’t think money will ever be the issue that stops MS from picking up anyone if they think it is exactly what they need and what they want and the studio wants to be bought it will happen.

While the thread generally shies away from console warring, a few posts recently rubbed me the wrong way; I can definitely understand the need for catharsis in a big Xbox win, especially with certain groups online, but I think relishing in someone else’s misfortune isn’t the best way to do so perhaps. Instead, imagining the next big win (from an acquisition standpoint), I think it would be awesome if we were the ones to extend an olive branch to gamers (note the specific usage here) that tend to avoid Xbox, in order to bring them into the fold. Would make for an even bigger ecosystem rife with all the benefits that brings.
