If this is true then Cerny flat out lied. I think the 3.2/1.8 combo will be the most popular, which will make the PS5 essentially an 8.2tflop machine.

Which makes sense, sony probably originally had a goal of vega 64 performance, which back in the day was on the high end of speculation lol.

It’s the GPU running without overclocking and the CPU not too far away from XSX so it makes sense. Could have been cheaper, smaller and quieter.

I think it was there original goal. I really doubt sony wanted to make such a big hulking monstrousity of a console.

It does seem that way with them doing the same creative marketing with the SSD as they have done. Maybe thought Xbox aiming for 10 originally or something.
