this is exactly what I was thinking. Quakecon can grow and rival Blizzcon that way and it will become a proper industry event

Nice idea, thanks for sharing. Would be a lot of fun to see something like that and I think it fits better with Xbox than a Smash clone. Also could have all sorts of fun PvE/coop crossover modes.

What about the game not being an exclusively FPS game? For example, a player playing with Master Chief shall play in first person, but a player playing with Fenix shall play in third person. Balancing such a game would be hard but I believe it would be worth it.

I think a third person hero shooter would work also. Plus it opens up player cosmetics which works better with this person shooters.

Another character to add would be Conker, banjo and Kazooie.

I like the idea of a FPS with Microsoft characters. Add in some 007 characters (given Rare’s history).
