I want Mass Effect like games and Exodus and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn seem to be the closest thing we’re gonna get before Mass Effect 5 if that ever comes out.

I’m really interested in how it’ll carry the era forward. According to the official Star Wars YouTube channel video (in the description) it’s a spiritual successor. Will they mention the events of KOTOR 1 & 2 and have them play a heavy role? Is this the end of a trilogy or the start of something new?
It begs the question: which game will release first: the remake or the sequel?
Weren’t we supposed to get an official re-release of KOTOR 2 that just had all the cut content? Didn’t it release on Switch? I though they said they’d bring it to all platforms.

It says it’s NOT a direct sequel or continuation. So I would expect a new story with maybe some general references to what went on in the previous KOTOR games.
The Switch port did release but not with the cut content mod. They planned to release it but couldn’t/didn’t get the needed permissions from all of the mod developers.

I legit don’t understand why Baldur’s Gate keeps winning “ongoing game.” Because it… still exists? It’s an offline game. Did it even get any meaningful updates or content drops in 2025?

It got update 8 this year, which added some subclasses to the game and change somethings for more utility and a bug fixes patch.
But, I would still not give it best on going game, as the most content it gets is through mods imo.

The director must have screwed up to have FOTOR reveal happened in the opening and not the ending. I’m convinced.
