[Spoiler Free] Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase |OT| Tempered Expectations Not ALLOWED! [Spoiler Free]

Even for me it’s 80€ and in my country PS is almost religion (even without apparent motives, people still bought en masse the terrible launch ps3 here), but I personally know many people who never had an Xbox and jumped ship, also national videogaming websites/forums are much more balanced towards Xbox than last gen.

Coincidentally nobody of my friends who have a PS5 bought a single PS5 exclusives, 80€ was their reason, they bought the usual FIFA or play Warzone.

A lot of my friends went to PS last gen, none of them have gotten a next gen console yet. Lack of next-gen specific games and price point definitely a factor.

The Initiative would like to have a word with you. Considering the pedigree of that team, they’re no chumps either.

There’s to many games now.

I totally forgot about Perfect Dark and Fable.

Seen a couple people say BF2042 shouldn’t be at the show, but this is why it was great for it to be on it. Arguably the biggest game of the show that brought a lot of eyeballs to the showcase.

Great get for Xbox.

“But Xbox has too many games.”

TBH I felt this way ever since GamePass became a thing. The amount of choice has already been overwhelming, going forward will just be insane.

Next years show will be even better. Halo will finally be out the door. So they can show a lot more games

Well it’s not as if THAT was the reason anything not shown, wasn’t there

I legit “Lol’d” at this because it’s probably true in a way. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Yeah, we’ll always see some form of Halo at least once a year at E3/Gamescom/X0/TGA, it might be an Infinite update and/or another game.

And next year is Starfield and then Fable and then Gears and etc

Halo Infinite definitely didn’t overshadow rest of the lineup which I felt by talking with few non Xbox fans.

Them putting it in the middle and the show still having amazing announcements was pretty telling.

Haven’t been posting much here lately, but this was a really well-paced great show! It’s crazy to me that they did not even show most of the games I’m looking forward to the most, including Fable, Hellblade 2, Perfect Dark, Avowed and The Elder Scrolls VI, yet I came away from this presentation with a big smile on my face, because almost everything they showed I did like… and I will play it for no additional cost thanks to Game Pass.

Game-wise, the news I’ve read on Starfield in the various interviews Tood Howard gave do excite me. NASA Indiana Jones? Inject it into my veins! The concept art released after the show was gorgeous (and probably should have been in the main show). Putting Halo in the middle was a smart move for me, and the multiplayer looked really good. Despite the cool vampire designs, I was not sold right away by Redfall, but reading up on it, it does seem like different character abilities, solo-play and “Arkane DNA” is in this, so I’ll be cautiously optimistic like I am for Deathloop. Having A Plague Tale on Game Pass day one is a huge huge get for me as well. As a fan of Metro, I will love to find out what the love for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise is all about. Forza Horizon 5 had my drop my jaw the whole time, incredible stuff. And the smaller games in between all were interesting and worthwhile. Psychonauts 2 will probably be my game of the year. Atomic Heart is the best game shown I had never heard of. Outer Worlds 2 will be a thing, yay! Flight Sim is coming really soon! And man, Hades, The Ascent, Somerville, Twelve Minutes, Sable, Eiyuden Chronicles, Yakuza 7…. Where should I stop this post? Right, I could go on forever and this is why the mindshare for this conference was so high, even if they “only” really revealed two new games in The Outer Worlds 2 and Redfall.

Never seen such diverse lineup. :ok_hand:

Don’t forget Contraband.

It’s almost as if Game Pass requires a diverse set of games .
