Aw that’s a shame to hear. I was thinking it might be a situation where the setting and lore are cool but they aren’t explored/presented well. Still doesn’t mean that the stories they tell will be bad or anything, but that kind of situation is always nice, you know? “Oh cool, they’re focusing on the age of whatever which set up the current state of affairs” or “Nice we get to learn more about side character who is universally loved by the player base but has a small part”

Those people are insanely talented. I had negative interest in that universe/IP but I’ll be the first to admit they put together an amazing package. The production budget must have been insane. It absolutely set a high bar for cross-media adaptations and I’m sad to say it’ll be probably be untouched for a while.

MS would never have given them what they got at Sony. Plus MS want to own the IPs. I doubt that Bungie gave up any ownership of their IPs in this deal.

Sony definitely overpaid, but good for Bungie. Sony was desperate.

Seems destiny 2 has been hinted for switch using the tech Google uses for stadia and as a online only game destiny 2 in the cloud makes a lot of sense for switch although warframe is a native port on switch

Sooo with Bungie being 100% independent from Sony and allowed to publish their own games on whatever platforms does this mean Game Pass too :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: or would Sony block that, if so are they really independent? Hmm.

I’d imagine Sony would cut the deal for Destiny content on Spartacus instead and make sure it can’t release on Game Pass. Not like Sony has to worry about outbidding MS here.

Halo Infinite just released, so it may be a way to cope by ignoring facts and just pretending 343i doesn’t exists. That’s the only way I can make sense of this craziness.
