20+ hours and never had a major bug outside of getting stuck one time
I’m seeing bugs in RE4 Remake (like ganados not reacting to Leon or Ashley getting stuck on a piece of geometry). It’s good to point out glitches for the devs to fix but this twitter guy asking for a refund based on this clip… yeah, no.
Imagine if we’d boycotted every single game with glitches like this? I mean flying mammoths in Skyrim is one of my best gaming memories ever.
Took a trip to New Zealand last night and played some of this. It’s great, exactly what I wanted from a dead island game. Looking forward to more of it tonight after work, then watching some nba playoffs.
Great Review Jesse. Enjoyed it a ton!
I just bought it!
Tonight me and my brother are gonna slay some zombies in Hell-A.
Picked up the game the other day and will finally start it later today.
Played all evening up till night with brother, lots of fun.
Two things…
I have this red exclamation point/mark on the lower left of the screen and won’t go away, what is this?
So far we’ve done 6 story missions, but how do we obtain or make unique weapons? So far we’ve only been able to apply electricity to weapons and that’s about it, aside from the usual improvements.
you’ll find more and more blueprints as you play. certain mods work on certain weapons, and side missions will get you more
Yeah I’m not too far yet, but it does seem like playing in single player you will explore more. So maybe what happened @Staffy is playing in coop and potentially missed finding hidden blueprints. Which is understandable when playing with another person, you just want to keep the action moving.
Yeah, we’re gonna do a lot more side missions next time we play, because already 6 story missions done surprised us, goes a bit too fast this way.
Another thing, we found many objects that were locked and needed a key, for a example a security guard’s key, I imagined the key would be close by to a guard zombie, but nope. And also inside Halperin many objects that needed keys, did we just not search right or do we find these later?
most of the time they were tied to a random to find named zombie or a side quest for me
Hmm I see. Then I guess I just have to continue playing.
I started over again, this time with a new slayer and in solo and I found a few more keys. Like several safe deposit keys in the hotel, but it seems they don’t give me anything really unique, just more parts. So if I miss several keys, so be it.
But that is assuming all these closed crates, safes etc only contain parts, not sure if that’s the case.
For example I found a locker called loundry room locker and it needed a key, in the hotel, never found the key. Also a fancy leather trunk needing a key. A bit odd that I’d have to go back inside the hotel just for these… Hmmm.
There are multiple side quests that will bring you back to big locations.
We’re about ten story quests in and only about two side quests, for some reason they are hard to find right now. We explore every new area we get in to. But there are also those zombies with a skull icon, and even after levelling up a few times they are still too strong for us in Beverly Hills. It’s a bit annoying how you can’t really see on the map where these stronger ones are.
Also, unless I didn’t pay good enough attention, I found out today the match level option when upgrading weapons but I don’t believe this option is ever explained. It does cost money to do so, but it does make weapons stronger too. I assume we really should do this?
Last but not least, also in the workbench there’s a tab called Fabricate but we still don’t have anything here. Is this story or side quest related?
if you find something you truly love, but it is incredibly expensive
The damage system is incredible from a tech standpoint. For me its a little too good (felt a bit sick watching some reviews).
I dont know if its my old age, but anyone else find the gore a bit much? Or have i turned into a wuss.
You kinda lost me know.
Not gonna call you a wuss, but personally I love the gore. I would not mind more games being a bit more detailed with it. Instead of just slashing heads off you really get more realism now and I’m all for it.
