Hopped on - it’s so so much slicker now. The game’s qualities will have a chance to shine, although it’s never going to be amazing, I think.

I agree with him on the horror aspect. I saw some clips and some of the area looks great with capturing the horror of its surroundings alas vintage Arkane.

Loaded it up. Feels great. I hope people will give it a chance, it is a fun game. Will do another play-through soon.

Redfall is an 8/10 game for me at launch and the Metacritic score seems pretty unfair.
Glad to see it’s not abandoned.

Not surprised if the game appears sharper. It was a CPU issue why the game was 30fps, so I doubt resolution has dropped that much, if at all, but the jump to 60 will massively increase the motion resolution.

That’s funny. And probably would have been the smarter move by Microsoft instead of a full retail release.
Decided to give this a download out of pure curiosity and yeah, in terms of how it plays it really is night and day, shooting enemies genuinely feels good, surprisingly good
It certainly doesn’t fix my main issues with the game like the world itself or the skill trees/powers but for people just looking to shoot some vampires with friends, I think people could have a good time
I will say though, one thing I still absolutely hate is how it’s impossible to tell where enemies are, like the alert sound will play or a cultist will say something and I’m looking around for 5 minutes trying to realise where the heck they are

The game feels very good to play now if nothing else. Hopping back in reminded me of how much I loved the idea of Redfall.

Respect for the work put in for the patch its so much better. The game AI is still rather lame and needs massive amounts of work If the team can fix the AI this game will be so good (its almost there now)
