It’s definitely too soon IMO, but I understand why they are doing it.
Ugh I strongly feel the opposite personally. Loved that game but could never play it again. Oh and TLOU2 kinda killed TLOU for me sadly.
Anyway - anyone know what time the Event is today in GMT/Bri-ish time? Thanks
They’re creatively bankrupt and too risk-averse.
It’s at 10 PM GMT.
Hmm… as a 30+ year old gentleman who has been to gym today and at hospital almost all last week I’ll be sitting this one out and plan to be asleep around then aha.
My excitement level for this event is about a 3/10 anyway as I feel it’ll be mostly VR2, 3rd party and maybe 2-3 updates. Could be wrong though.
I couldn’t hear a word those people said in that clip. The volume was so low. Asking for a game and actually buying it is two different things. People ask for a lot of things and when they get it, never buy it only to wonder why it’s never seen or heard from again. lol
I didn’t ask for TLOU Remake but it’s to coincide with the HBO series so it makes sense. First game is a classic and my 360/PS3 game of the generation so to get that same story and characters with all the tech/gameplay stuff of TLOU2, im definitely day one unless they added Abby to the story somehow.
I was disappointed with TLOUP2 story/character wise but loved the 2013 original so to get remade with all the tech/gameplay stuff of part 2 but with the story and characters intact is great for me as it will make up for TLOUP2.
My expectations are extremely low. Was hoping for a PlayStation Showcase which is Sony’s main event while State of Play is their minor event. If I get gameplay for Avatar, I will be very happy.
I mean they can easily sneak in some Avatar gameplay, an exclusive CoD thing to troll Xbox-only fans too. I expect them to have a few third party exclusives as they haven’t done too much money hat-ing this year, weirdly enough.
I don’t get all the dramatic concern for a Last of Us remake, is it too early? Sure, but I’m sure it’ll do fine all the same. It’s a small project and it’ll cash in on the tv show to make the game more accessible for a new audience. I’ll be happy to play it one more time with prettier graphics anyway.
I mean which is it? A “small project” or gonna “sell huge”? I’d say fans are more annoyed than anything. PlayStation is being conservative and / or greedy here. Remakes and remasters of very recent games are boring at best and if they cost “upgrade” fees then they are shameless cash grabs at worst.
If it’s a full fledged remake similar to that of REmake2/3, then I will be very happy. If it’s just a remaster similar to Mass Effect or the rumored Gears collection, then it’s a skip for me but all rumors point to it being a remake.
I have no problem spending $70 on a remake to what was my 360/PS3 game of the generation.
All I said is “it’ll do fine”, it’s a small project they’re working on because they didn’t have any other major projects ready to start full production on and the alternative would be laying off staff till they needed them again. It doesn’t need to sell by the tens of millions to be worth doing, it’s not taking resources away from other projects and it’ll likely better familiarise them with upgraded engine tech for their next game anyway, not to mention it’ll make the game more accessible to a wider audience once the tv show comes out so as far as I’m concerned it’s a win win all around.

RE4 remake huh - no exclusivity from what I can see? Just marketing.
Resident Evil 4 doesn’t have any exclusive label to it.
RE4 looks good. March 24th 2023 is not that far.
I’m hyped !
These PSVR2 trailers are having a fair few frame drops? You guys seeing that or is it just the stream?
Was there fear of RE4 being moneyhatted? Come on already Capcom doesn’t do those.
Not to mention IMO that would be a weird moneyhat.
