This is a great watch, definitely eye opening but I really cant blame Sony for moving in this direction in the slightest. The mobile stuff is where things get a bit sticky, thats the only area im not sure how they plan on attacking it (buying mobile studios?, cloud?)

Random, but has anyone played Odin Sphere on PS4? I sort of enjoyed Dragon’s Crown and Muramasa, but kind of “yuck” on the art style. How is the game? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth a go at $15.

It’s an interesting state of affairs.
Xbox was always king of the multiplayer games. PlayStation was always king of Singleplayer.
Then one day - Xbox hoovered up single-player focused studios and PS bought Bungie.
It’s almost like they are exchanging roles.
They kinda have mobile division already no? They even have some gatcha Fate/Night or whatever it is called.
Played it on ps2 back in the day. Great game.
I think the industry is changing but that is one of the hallmarks of gaming. I’d say use the past to give context and learn to embrace unpredictability. People that expected the status quo to remain unchanged for a new console generation are too young or naive to understand gamings long history of constant change.
I hope someone like Apple enters the market or buys PlayStation just to wake these sheltered modern gamers from their slumber.

I understand that and believe me, this isn’t an “issue” limited to or directed at you specifically. More so that the news is appreciated, but some form of thought is much more valuable. Otherwise, it amounts to saying “first!” in a thread. What does this story mean? Why is it significant? How do you feel about it? Etc. This and other forum are notorious for this. It amounts to “spam” in a way.

How time passes by so quickly!
I still have my PS2 copy. I never really got into it, but it was okay.
The Last of Us Remake is going to be huge. Unless they added Abby to the damn game, it’s day one for me. Give me the same excellent story and characters but with the visuals, audio and combat/gameplay of TLOUP2. Oh man!!!

Id love to see remasters of older ps3 games though in hogher res andbbetter frame rate. That way we can get them sooner.
It’s going to be a decade + since TLOU1. A new HBO show on the horizon, sounds like the perfect time for a fully realized remake.
Remasters are cool but eh, not that exciting.

We say this for almost every remake and then they come out and do great lol.
