Very impressive. 3 1/2 years after launch and Switch is still kicking ass. It’s the only console I believe that can surpass the 155M lifetime console sales of PS2.
Nintendo isn’t really for me (have played and completed only 6 Nintendo published games in the last 15 years) but seeing them do amazing after Wii U is great. A healthy Nintendo is great for the industry and gaming in general.
And we’re back for the first time since 2019

Call me crazy but what if they end the mario anniversary and begin sonic anniversary with a mario and sonic proper crossover game
Playing Mario Odyssey right now and absolutely having a blast. 
The key point here:
Nintendo has built a cast of iconic characters with games like “Super Mario,” “The Legend of Zelda,” the Pokémon franchise. These characters have followed players across generations to different games, different consoles, and this is no more apparent than in “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,” which is a megamash of Nintendo characters. You’ve got Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Zelda, Samus, Luigi, Yoshi, Diddy Kong, Marth, Roy. I mean, come on, that’s the whole family right there.
Nintendo players don’t care about high-definition graphics, frame rates and all the things Sony/Microsoft try to make gamers think they need.
The Nintendo IP catalog is golden and probably the most valuable in the world BY FAR. Even Sony’s IP isn’t remotely close in value.
In fact I’d say Nintendo’s IP rivals Disney’s and Pixar’s in 2021.
Been playing Rise. Combat for certain weapons is just terrible. I can only use Fast playstyles in these games.
Using slower weapons makes the game unplayable. Especially with no lock on system.
Everything else about the game is great though

Wish there was a way to redownload individual DLC to games as opposed to being forced to redownload all. Some stuff is gigs and I don’t have the space on my SD card for all that.
How big is your SD?
128GB. Have a few digital games on and a bunch of demos but the majority of stuff is downloaded patches and DLC.
I’ve been working through my Switch backlog a bit, recently beat Tropical Freeze, now finishing up NSMB U. Will probably save Luigi U for another time.
Nintendo gonna eat well this year if the rumoured stuff comes to fruition.
I can do without voice acting, the graphics are neat though. Voice acting can also ruin things for me, especially grating annoying stuff. For instance I sometimes just wish to play without having to go through long unskippable cut scenes that go slower than I can read. So it drags out a game for me and even can become boring.
So for me it would be great if I either can turn it to a language I don’t understand or just turn it off and have text only.
YUP! I like it due to the gameplay and stylish graphics with often really good music and sound. It is more an AA level of design. And no, I do not mean that as an insult (As so many take it as such for some reason :(). I think AAA is unsustainable as a practice. Sure, some games can have such a budget, but more budget doesn’t equal to more fun. And I think Nintendo is proving that.
I mean I’m more looking forward to Mario Golf than anything Microsoft has currently announced, and that says something about me but also about Nintendo.
Nintendo expecting 30M Switches this year … BotW2 must be close. Also, I will be buying Project Triangle Strategy on day one, and I simply don’t do that very often
