Publisher NetEase during the company’s latest seasonal earnings call announced that Naraka: Bladepoint has reached 40 million unique players across all platforms. Since its launch on Windows back in 2021 as well as it’s Xbox launch in June of 2022, the melee-focused battle royale has been continuously updated with new playable characters and weapons such as the hero Hadi Ismail and the Fan weapon. Naraka also has an active esports scene as well, with next month’s World Tournament featuring a 1.5 million USD cup.

Another key to the game’s success is the developer’s close relationship to its community, which has kept the mythical competition going for 10 Seasons. Recently, one-handed gamer JesseLHV on YouTube teamed with Naraka’s development team and the engineering team at Hacksmith Industries to create a prosthetic arm inspired by the one that hero Hadi wears in-game.

Naraka: Bladepoint is available on Xbox Series and Xbox One consoles as a free-to-play title. The game features crossplay with limitations. Check out the trailer for the most recent hero below as well as the upcoming Showdown campaign chapter slated for tomorrow Pacific Time.

I played this on release on PC and it felt like it was going to crash every second. I should give it a try on Xbox.
