One more episode to go for Stranger Things Season 4 here and I just saw it’s more than two hours. Yoooooooooo
Episode 8 was damn strong too, so well put together, acted, likeable characters, even the ones you’re not supposed to really like.
Howwwwww is this show so good? I am so glad another season is awaiting us next year, but I’m gonna be sad when it’s over. I don’t know how to feel about these guys making a live action adaption of Death Note though. I want them to make their own stories and characters again. At least there’s gonna be a ST spin off.
Oh right! I forgot that they won’t all be on Netflix immediately. Yeah I’m gonna watch it live as well, I don’t want any risk at all of spoilers. Nowadays on Youtube and Twitter you just don’t know if you’ll get something big spoiled.
Stranger Things, Breaking Bad and Better call Saul are three shows I can watch so many times. Won’t be a problem for me to watch them after a few months again. They are just that good.
Saw a new horror/thriller in the cinema just now. A mix of Danish and Dutch, quite interesting. It could have been something really good, because at least two scenes are genuinely chilling.
However, the decisions that some characters make in the movie leave you baffled, unless there really are people this fucking stupid, which I want to refuse to believe. Unbelievable and baffling decisions in horror is nothing new, but they do it so many times that it drags the whole goddamn thing into the ground.
Movie is called Speak no Evil. I would not spend money on it.
Better Call Saul S06E08. Incredible, on-edge tense and emotional premiere, this show is impressive on all accounts, moreso considering that we know the fate of most of the characters [from BB] already, my God.
I DID NOT imagine they’d kill Lalo, every impression and implication we had is that he’s alive during Breaking Bad. I still would like a bit more convincing on why Jimmy won’t get the knowledge that Lalo died, but I’ll understand if they don’t
The last scene is so bleak and unsettling. Howard buried with a lowlife psycho criminal, with his reputation completely shattered.
Lalo was a true psychopath , died with a smile on his face . Yikes . The grave was a very bleak scene . Life was very unfair for Howard . He was a good guy but still ended in the grave with a psychopath . I think it hurt Mike as well , because of his " in the game , not in the game " mentality . Plus he knew about the shit Kim and Jimmy pulled on Howard and I am really happy that he reminded them of it .
The big bad is dead yet 5 episodes still remain . Guess now they are going to show what happened to Kim and probably gonna tell the story of Breaking Bad but from Jimmy’s POV . Bet this is where Walt and Jesse come in .
WB and Apple TV had talks with Vince last year . Dont know if they reached a deal or not . My guess is that he is gonna stick with AMC . They will let him do whatever he wants anyway .
You would have to imagine it with older HBO as current HBO is controlled by Discovery and has already shut down unique programming and even removed the shows and episode from the HBOMaxx service. I have bleak to midling outlook on HBO now.
As the media conglomerate looks to recalibrate its streaming priorities, it will no longer produce originals for HBO Max in the Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland), Central Europe, the Netherlands and Turkey, and will also remove some content from its platform in order to free up licensing deals elsewhere
They shut down the reality TV section but yup , Discovery CEO Zaslav is trash penny pinching asshole . Everyone knew this was coming . WB gonna be back on the market to be sold in 5-6 years .
Does this mean they wont show their originals in these regions or wont make originals for these specific regions ?
Those originals are already removed from the service. They will license them out or sell them outright to other streaming services. There was a lot of shows removed from the service in late June or early July, shows that had dedicated placement and promotions tiles on the service. They yanked out from underneath folks. Some even in the middle of them watching an episode it errored out on them and they couldnt finish. The content seems to be removed from all regions, even from the US.
Any plans for new originals in those regions have been cancelled.
This might be my favorite season yet, or very close to the first one.

Not necessarily a fan of Max living. Not that I want her gone, no, but when she died…that scene was powerful as hell, gave me goosebumps too. It also showed that they are not afraid to kill of characters that have been part of the group for a while now. But I guess they aren’t. 11 can now revive people from the death?
Eddie, as much as I wanted him to live too makes more sense, only been around this season. RIP.
Also not a super fan of how 11 got free of the “tentacles” and got the upper hand on Vecna. All because of Mike talking courage into her? It’s cool, but something different would have been better.
A few questions
11 was able to physically get into the place where Max and Vecna were. Previously she was only able to see memories but not alter or take place. What am I missing here?
After everything has happened, 11 spins a bottle, why is this?
Some nitpicks about the season, nothing that hurt the overall quality but enough to make me say “come on now.”
1- The “high” security prison. The guy is able to enter while carrying a gun. He isn’t frisked at all. Hard to believe.
2- While Mike is talking courage into 11 while she’s stuck, Vecna is just standing there with his claws over Max. He really could have already just ended her.
One more season. Hopefully next year. But this was so damn good, so many revelations, it’s not going to be easy to top that or at least be as good as this. But I look forward to it.
Agree on the max living thing . I hope they use her coming back alive in a good way and not in a "Vecna is dead so she is not brain dead anymore ! " way .
I expect we’ll learn about how 11 managed to bring Max back from the dead too. We were not aware of such a power. But Max is still in that trance like state, right? Her heart is beating, but she’s likely still in there with Vecna. We know he’s not dead either.
I read a couple of things about season 5, and they just want to go out swinging, they don’t want to be one of those shows who out stays their welcome trying to stick the landing, they want to stick the landing. The Duffers are now on vacation but in August they’ll come back and start on 5.
I guess there’s a chance we might not see it until 2024. Even without corona it was still a two year gap between 1 and 2 if I’m not mistaken.
I tried to try it, but the process of establishing an account in the Apple eccosystem when you do not own an Apple product is a complete and total cluster-mess.
At some point I got into a situation where it wanted CVV verification that would always fail despite matching exactly what was entered on their system when the account was established. I even tried jumping through hoops with an iTunes App install, where changing and re-establishing credit card details did nothing to resolve the Looping CVV issue. Another brand new account setup was locked into a point where in order to make any changes it required calling a phone number to voice me a 6 digit code. Even with that brand new account it wouldn’t allow for Apple TV+ Service usage. I gave up after 1 week and 6 different account setups trying to get it to work. It never did.
Long story short, it was vastly easier to find their content via other means.
Damn, didn’t think they’d give Lalo his exit already. But on the other hand…it’s like what, only five episodes left? But that does make me wonder what’s going to happen. What is going to happen that will provide the tension we’ve had in this show? Will the twins do something?
Do you mean overall or this episode? Because I mean, he’s great, always is great. But he didn’t particularly stand out in this episode.
