Yeah those hit me pretty hard; I grew up on those two.
I havent watched a single episode of The Boys yet .
Tony I know solely from Goodfellas and The Sopranos, he was awesome in those.
James Caan of course from The Godfather and Misery.
But a lot of their older and newer movies I’ve never seen. What are some must sees?
Never thought I would read " Directors need to be controlled " coming from a director .
Stranger Things season 4, episode 6…
One thing I am a bit puzzled about.
Eleven is talking to that dude in white. Talking about painful memories and how father doesn’t always tell the truth. He tells her that years ago there was a woman who came for her, called her by the name Jane. He asks if she remembers this and tells her this was her mother. I expected Eleven to say “yeah, I know.” but she says that her mother died when she made Jane.
What am I missing here? Because in season 2 she goes to visit her mother. It’s also soon thereafter she meets Eight and her group. I thought Eleven had only forgot about how she killed everyone in the lab when she was younger, but she forgot about all this too?
I’m trying to recall this scene exactly, but … what you’re seeing there is 11 unlocking forgotten memories, memories from events that happened years before even Season 1 Episode 1. It may be confusing because you’re seeing the current-day 11 in the scene but the scenes really happened years earlier. The true scenes happen with young 11. Sometimes they play fast and lose with interchanging current-day and young 11.
Oooooh, for a while I thought it was this but then decided it wasn’t.
So the scene where she gets bullied by the other three, even though we see older 11 it is the young one. Of course, she’s inside NINA after all. For a while I thought she was training as older 11 with current students/subjects there, but that wouldn’t make any sense. In current day she is not actually training there.
So the bullying part is right before she causes that total massacre? Because in the bullying scene there are no other kids in the room.
Also…
Brenner looks very similar in both present and past. But I could swear they had a flashback of him in one of the seasons where he had dark hair. So that’s another reason it was confusing me a little.
Holy shit man, season 4 is fucking amazing. Just saw episode 7. I think this so far is my favorite episode of this season.
The parts with 1 and 11 were awesome in this episode. And that dude can pull of a very convincing badguy/villain, crazy dude. Damn. I love how we not only see how the upside down was created, but also how Vecna became how he is, and used to be. The revelations were great.
Two more to go and I don’t want it to end.
And I read season 5 will have much shorter episodes, which makes me sad, I love the length of the episodes this season.
Shit, it’s such a damn well made show all around.

"It took me over six months to recover from WandaVision’s crunch. It’s not worth it. Not when there’s better run projects that look just as good out there
O.o
Crunch and underpaying and mediocre content. All the bad with no good. MCU and Disney are trash.
Stranger Things is one of the best mainstream and prestige TV in recent years.
In a latter reply he said Marvel can get away with this because they are “too big” now, but apparently they have been doing this for a while. Its really sad.
Its not that Marvel is "Too big " . Saying no to marvel is like saying no to Disney , and Disney owns half the industry . Easiest way to kill your career . Also VFX industry is not unionized so an individual VFX artist cant say no or ask for more money because the boss would just replace them with someone else . I think the only ones that say no to Marvel is WETA FX because of their clout in the industry . Fucked situation .
Hope this lead to a change in the VFX industry just like its (gradually) happening everywhere.
Unions . Only way against these shitty corpos .
Yes, absolutely.
Along with Better call Saul my favorites for sure.
Oh, nearly forgot that the second half of the season picks up tonight. Looking forward to these last few episodes so much that I’m willing to watch them as they air and not wait to binge them when all available.
