Many people who play games in Europe have no access to a credit card. Having other payment options is very important in a lot of European countries. This week Paysafe, a payment provider, has revealed their payment method via Paysafecard will be integrated in the Microsoft Store on Xbox consoles.

This service will allow European users to pay for games and subscriptions without the use of a credit card. Supported countries are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

This new payment option can be a welcoming option for users in Europe who do not have credit cards and don’t want their bank accounts linked directly to Xbox. It also works as a more inclusive option, so everyone is able to pay for goods on Xbox.

Oh nice. Not sure if those countries are the ones having trouble with payments though.

they gotta add more regional options outside VISA as well, here in India there’s a big presence of Rupay as a method which most online gateways dont even support, hope MS can add that sometime soon.
