It could have been a Borderlands like game. With the right loot system, it really could have been a great coop looter shooter. They just took too long to do that turn around that people have already forgot the game ever existed. They probably focused on bringing 60 FPS first but then it was too late to do anything else (I’m speculating).

I know this is a meme already, but in some aspects It kind looks like ABK bought Xbox, not the other way around.
Shift towards the development of big blockbusters? Those are ABK thing.
Prioritising game sales VS. subscription services? Thats ABK there.
It is scary really.
So it is because they grew too big for what their management team could handle and both Tango and Arkane Austin weren’t even in the pitch stage for their next titles yet so it was unlikely timing.

I give them a pass because they succeed in creating quality products without exception, 343i can never get anything right at launch and by the time they get around to fixing the issues it’s too late and most players moved on.

Theres no question Last of Us 2 missed the mark on multiple levels. I dont even consider their games finished anymore.
Damn I love Dishonored, sad that we’re likely not going to get one now most likely and man I wish the CMA and FTC had succeeded now 
Never would’ve imagined that this deal could be this bad for the Xbox division in this aspect but honestly many people here said they were worried about the negative impact the deal could have on the rest of the division and they were probably right.

Microsoft has also had internal debates about whether to put new releases of Call of Duty into Game Pass. I understand this is a debate that has been ongoing internally for quite some time, with concerns from some that the revenue that Call of Duty typically generates for Activision Blizzard will be undermined by Game Pass.
I’m told that Microsoft has also considered increasing the price of Game Pass Ultimate again. These are only considerations, so a final decision could mean we still see a future Call of Duty release appear in most versions of Game Pass.
I understand Hellblade II is another game that Microsoft has been considering for the PS5.
Xbox employees are now bracing for what’s next, as it seems unlikely that we’ve seen the last of Microsoft’s gaming layoffs and cutbacks. There are whispers among employees that core Xbox Game Studios are set for cutbacks next.

Yeah, and it’s not even the actual Dishonored studio, interesting. Even though 70% of the workforce did leave, apparently. But hey, it’s over anyway.

I hope they start making PS5 versions of all of their games if it hopefully helps them to sell some more and generate enough revenue to keep them afloat and not closed by Microsoft and I mean asap and have those ports ready by launch, for Avowed, Indiana etc

serious question, whats stopping Xbox from releasing all the older CoD games on the subscription service? Bethesda released all their games day 1
They need to do something, how is Xbox supposed to make more money from these games otherwise? Makes sense to me to have them available on the much bigger platform. Support the next Switch too, which hopefully is powerful enough.
King revenue. Buy another publisher? One way not to earn money is porting games to console that aren’t even buying their own games.
Xbox core studios would mean the ones that have been there for years? Or could be any of XGS?
