List of FPS Boost Games

Have you tried restarting the console?

Edit: iirc Max Payne 3 had an unlocked framerate on 360. Maybe One X is not fast enough to boost to 60fps and Series X has the power? Like in GTA4?

No, but should it be 60fps on One X too? I’ll reboot the console now and see what happens.

Yeah One X probably isn’t fast enough to reach 60fps. Still it’s pretty cool that the game runs at 60fps on SX.

Mauro comes back to it though and says he isn’t sure, it’s fluctuating. I never knew MP3 ran with uncapped framerate.

A lot of Rockstar games ran at uncapped framerates PS360 and before, I think even GTA V. Shame RDR wasn’t one of them

Mirror’s Edge 4k 60 is what I’ve been waiting for.

Wish Lost Odyssey was on there though.

Just ebayed MP3, much cheaper than a digital copy.

Well, never say never. As far as I can tell, they haven’t said that they’re discontinuing the FPS Boost program so it might happen down the line :grinning:

Guys, you can now play the best kart racer of all time in 60fps. SONIC & All-Stars Racing Transformed is unbelievably good now!

Sonic Generations at 4K 60 FPS. Goddamn.

Some day, maybe Dishonored 2 will get FPS Boost.

Also, it’s a shame they weren’t able to get the rights to Arx Fatalis sorted out.

Oh well.

Gears of War 3 is really a strange situation: I think it’s the only 360 game where XSX cannot reach 4k60fps with FPS Boost (when already X1X enhanced), it must be due to its very unoptimized status, I remember replaying it on X1X and it had several hiccups here and there, anyway 1440p60fps is totally worth it vs 4K30fps.

It must have had frame rate issues if it is not 4K and actually the same res as the Series S, as you say. Still, 1440p is a lot higher than 720p so I would always take the trade off for 60fps as well.

Yeah, I edited later that 1440p is worth the trade for 60fps, it’s not 1080p or even 720p.

It’s also great that all the mainline Gears games can now be played at 60fps. I might have to do a replay at some point lol.

Did Judgment get a boost as well?

Yeah, me too, I think the first Gears I played at 60 was 5, the 60fps mode in 4 wasn’t worth the trade in single player on X1X.

Yeah, also Judgement. At least the games not ported on pc are now playable in a modern-ish state with FPS Boost.

I think the missing link here is the mythical Rez Boost, I’d reckon it could work in tanden with FPS Boost for all the games with bandwidth constraints which disable X1X enhancements or at least provide an alternative (resolution bump or fps boost).

Ιs there any confirmation that the BC team will continue to work on the program even if it isn’t adding new titles? it would be great if they will continue to improve/add fps boost or resolution boost on already backwards compatible games.

Obviously not, they won’t say anything until if/when it arrives.

Yeah I guess we will see in the future if that scenario becomes a reality (I hope so!).

It must mean Series S will have framerate issues too doesn’t it? Can’t they make it 1080p? I’m totally fine with 1080p
