Halo |OT| Master Chief's Breath of the Wild Moment (Part 1)

I made it past the first area. Gameplay is top notch. If I had one complaint thus far, it’s that I’m severely underwhelmed with this entire game on a technical level.

LTTP did we ever get a link to the patch notes for MP? Sorry if this has already been asked and posted!

That’s my main gripe with the game so far. It lacks polish, especially visually. The grass looks terrible and out of place, shadows seem poor.

The gameplay is superb and so much fun but this game could have easily been delayed for a couple of more months. It just lacks detail in some areas.

Just the bosses though. Maybe it was that specific boss fight. Rest of the game felt pretty good.

Lol. Same here, although I am only a few hours in. I mean the Banished thought the chief was dead and obviously that information was not correct.

I don’t know why my aiming is worse in campaign than multiplayer :skull:

Man this game looks so beautiful. I understand when anyone says it doesn’t look impressive or anywhere near the top of AAA visual fidelity, but I’d take it over many of them easily. It’s just so simple, beautiful and comfortable to look at. Somehow It doesn’t look like a game from a certain console generation. There are absolutely shortcomings like shadows (especially their pop-in) and lighting in some conditions, but overall it’s :heart:

yep yep, I’m pretty happy with where it is now (what you’re seeing is basically medium settings on 1080p which already looks so good) although it sure can get better in some parts as you said, two years from now, I think we shall be seeing a far more impressive version of this! What’s important is they have nailed the art direction, and all that’s remaining is clearing up the visual hiccups.

I think it looks great. But then, I’m busy playing the game hehe. I think you have to be a special kind of boring person to worry about shadows when playing a great game.

Yeah, those things are noticeable only if you look for them, while a striking one is the lack of shadows on distant objects, which makes the vista apparently rough.

Anyone know the title of the track when that plays before you meet the Weapon?

I have honestly not noticed. I’m looking for weapons, ammo, collectibles, enemies and objectives… not so much shadows. But to each their own!
