Looks better compared to June 2020 for sure. However now that they’ve blown the ‘sacred’ holiday 2020 date, there is nothing ‘sacred’ about holiday 2021 either. If they need to delay this game to spring 2022 to make it truly great they’ll do so.

Graphic improvements looks good, the gameplay already looked fun as hell and since the campaign has been done and playable all the way through this game is going to get some serious polish.

So we have really fun Halo gameplay, the graphics will be much better and the nature of the game is a linear path that you can branch off of for side quests and exploration.

This sounds like it’s going to be amazing. It will be cool to have some freedom to explore in the Halo universe.

Thanks guys, it was really cool to play with you all, even though you talk too fast for me so I was mostly listening. It was a lot of fun ! I love this community.

What i really liked about July’s demo was that I saw improvements in terms of interaction between enemies, interaction between enemies and their environment, and interaction between the enemies and the player:

  • You can now blow up grunts’ backpacks (you couldn’t in 5).

  • Enemies now will idle and be calm when you are not around. They will not be always sharp. You can attack them by surprise. For example, you could see a jackal with his shield down. Once the player started shooting, he activated his shield but it was too late.

  • Brutes take grunts and throw them at you.

  • The grapple hook lets you reach pretty much every corner of the map, making exploration much more interesting.

  • You can attract stuff to you and throw it at the enemies.

  • You can use the grapple hook to attack enemies by surprise.

  • You can partially and completely destroy enemies’ armor by attacking them.

  • You scare animals when you shoot and they run away.

Infinite looks amazing.

Yea it definitely looks impressive so far and it’s a work in progress so I’m hyped to see it in motion now this is what we should of gotten in July but I’m not complaining

I don’t know how I missed that. Maybe I was too focused on Infinite, but is it true ? And how ? Why ? When ? I have so many questions. They really will release new maps (not with Forge) for a decade old game ? That’s so out of the blue ! I love the support for MCC.

The maps look awesome.

Yea they were halo online maps that game was built with the halo 3 engine

Oh ok. Is it on test on the Insider build ?

Edit : yes, it’s in the insider build of MCC for those interested : Next Halo: MCC flight begins, includes new Halo 3 maps and armors | Windows Central

Halo Infinite will be a critical and commercial success. It will win many game of the year awards but most importantly, Halo Fans will love it! These screenshots look amazing and let you dream about the amazing world they build! I haven’t been this hyped for a game for a long time.

idk halo fans are very stubborn and are doubtful after 4 and 5 but i like those for what they are for one reason or another and im very excited for infinite damn i can not stop looking at the new screenshots

I’m playing Halo 4 MP since a long long time.

I don’t remember the look sensitivity being this sluggish. What is recommended? And the other things like look acceleration, and the two dead zones?

I use 1 for look sensitivity

1? Wow, that’s just way too slow for me. I have it at 5 and that’s good. For Halo 4 that is.

Also, do you know how to fix this weird issue where a match just keeps loading and nothing happens? My brother hasn’t been able to join me today because twice he got that the matchmaking had found enough players, it loads the map and it just kept loading for him.

I love how Halo is doesn’t require instant reflexes.

It’s more about decision making and precision

No I don’t did he try closing and reopening the game

Use the Modern settings in Control. Set your sensibilities pretty high, between 8 and 10 (the maximum) for every game in multiplayer with 5 or 6 acceleration. Dead zones at 6% is perfect I think. With FOV at 90, it’s perfect for me. You can go down a bit if it’s too sensitive.

@Shpeshal_Nick you are wrong there was a singleplayer demo for Halo Reach :stuck_out_tongue: and stamina was important in BOTW. Otherwise the climbing would be the same boring mess like ac. (Yeah off topic)

@Doncabesa love the fact you mentioned Attack on Titan as a example for a rewarding mystery in a story

I think Halo has at least four bioms first of cause the open forest we already saw, second deep forest with a lot trees and vegetation, third a dessert area which was teased in the reveal and lastly beach with a sea.
