Would be possible with Xbox One. Youāve got āoceansā as well as ācontinentsā, youād just have to chunk the world up with load screens as you cross the ocean to the next land mass.
I mean, did anyone call Witcher 3 GaaS when they did something like that? Assassinās Creed also did it. The base campaign has to be ācompleteā on its own, then add sizable story DLCs a couple of times a year that open new areas / maps in the world.
Iām curious. If it wasnāt worrying about the amount of biomes (which I donāt recall every being topic in any other game). what would we have moved on to as the new concern?
Halo is the only game that is always under this microscope, sometimes itās on their own doing but most of the time itās in bad faith. I canāt believe some are now complaining the sparks are in 30fps, I actually like the way it looks.
Everything in the last Inside Infinite sounds freakinā awesomeā¦the bits on enemy AI and the Spartan Killer mini bosses are hype AF. Canāt wait to get destroyed by those badass mofos on Legendary!
Also the game looks amazing graphically and art direction wise.
I hope eventually we get the feature to simply customize the HUD to our liking. I think the idea to reduce cognitive load is good and important, but it comes at a sacrifice of vital information at a glance. People in the community over time might find ways that can be a good balance, and that can be simply onboarded through a customizable HUD.
AC games are GaaS. TW3 was not doing seasons, it did expansions which were huge add ons to the existing content. Iām not complaining wrt Halo btw. As long as we get more and more campaign content Iām more than thrilled. I prefer that I think to expansions that make us wait years to play them. At the same time though, the game is designed to leverage the GaaS content rollout model (not that it will not have lots to do on day 1).
Biome variety and general breadth of the settings to play in is hardly something to try sweeping under the rug. Previous Halo games all had good variety in terms of the general setting for the levels. I do think there will still be variety here though, even on day 1, just not in the biome per se (Pacific Northwest) so much as having Forerunner structures and whatnot to explore.
I dont really think that has anything to do with not being centered on MP lol. Thats just a feature that didnt make it to launch cause they didnt account for how it would work on an open world Halo.
The game is built on a 10 yr plan. It will have more campaign content delivered via the seasons. They wonāt go a decade without continuing the story.
Sure I expect some dlc to continue the story and what not but I dont think co-op coming in a season has anything to do with a 10 year plan other than being a cut feature of the series being added later. I dont expect any signficant story related dlc in the first year tbh.
Also none of these ā10 years longā games ever last 10 years.
