Not for Infinite I think, if they are referring to firefight I think it would be intentional that it not make launch. Enemy types could spoil things from the Campaign so they would want to release that game mode a little while after people can dive into the campaign.

No, which means it’s not happening for launch. They’re coming in super hot when not even co-op is gonna be there. I have to assume it’s on their roadmap eventually though.

From what I’m seeing I’m really hoping Infinite outscores H4 (so 88+), but some of these cons make me feel it won’t be.
This is one reason I hate leaks, they probably have a roadmap of the maps and when they want them to release but they would all show up in the game files as long as there is a reference to them. So people assume that all the maps are supposed to be there for launch when they never were.

Agree. Treating leaks as the single source of truth for shipping is weird.
already kinda knew this tbh, all the hype about “20+ maps at launch” was just too good to be true.

Which probably isn’t a bad amount, as long as they are somewhat consistent on releasing new maps over time as well as game modes to keep things fresh.

I really hate this obsession with metacritic scores. The context of when HI and H4 were reviewed is entirely different. A game can be absolutely stellar and far better yet not achieve the same score for a huge variety of reasons.
Anyway Halo Infinite is being reviewed separately by some of the big outlets, IGN for example - so it will likely have a MP score and a SP score.

People get upset over it as if 343i came out and said there were 20+ maps then at launch cut it to 10, leaks can be shit like that.

I know. We will just have to agree to disagree. Nonetheless I’m sure we all want Infinite to do better than H4 and H5 on as many metrics as possible, this is just one of them.

Pretty dispointed in Xbox Era’s youtube channel joining the obvious conspiracy going on. Between the main Overview video and reposts from other sites it’s at around 2 million views. And there are like a thousand other videos reacting to, reviewing and analyzing the trailer and are like 99% very positive and hyped
And I’m not buying it!!!
I heard from a very reputable source that Sony putting out that Horizon: Frobidden West blog post yesterday was just a brilliant move, that totally stole Halo Infinite’s thunder and all the buzz right now is about Horizon, not Halo. So these numbers have clearly been inflated, as have the reactions to it. And I’d prove it by revealing my irreffutable source’s name, but I won’t. I’ll just say it rhymes with Flap Claimer
