I think you can see the palace of pain in the box art

This pretty much sums up the mcc. What is this team doing now? Seems like some resources are now freed up to do some other work.

I’m betting some are moving to infinite wouldn’t surprise me

Yes possibly! We’ll know next year.

None of this is new. Absolutely none of it. They really need to project confidence in their own damn game, man. This game was supposed to be out by now. WE KNOW they have plenty they could be showing off and explaining, even if they don’t want to show gameplay. They could write an entire blog about the type of UNSC soldiers that are in the game, or the types of Banished in the game, or do blogs about vehicles in the game. They wouldn’t have to show any freaking gameplay, they could just use concept art and people would be excited about Halo.

What the hell is going on at 343 where they can’t SHOW anything. The graphics were panned, understandably, but my goodness that is no reason to completely turtle up. BE proud of your years of hard work! Every time sketch writes something on twiiter or reddit about Halo Infinite the tone is off, I can’t quite describe but none of his posts project confidence in Halo Infinite.

Because there is no need to show anything right now lol. Just calm down.

Who said there was a need or a necessity? I even said they didn’t have to show what the game’s current state looks like. But they should be talking more about the game if they don’t want wild rumors propagating. But nice little drive by comment.

They said they were planning on giving constant updates after the reveal back in July, but the delay messed things up. They said that they needed to reorganize their schedule because of it and that they would be more communicative in the future. I sure hope that we can get more constant updates after the end-of-year update that should happen sometime this month. I really want to see more about this game.

Yea I think all of us do lol

Why is this one of the only franchises were people demand the developer updates us fans on the development of the game? Their under no contract to let us into the process and development, their end goal is to ship a game they’re excited about and hopefully the fans are as well.

This notion that we need to be updated as to what’s happening internally is crazy. We don’t go to Bethesda and demand they tell us how development of Starfield is going, no one yells at Naughtydog to tell us how their next game is going or Santa Monica studios on how God of War is doing.

Let’s just be patient. I want Halo infinite badly but at the end of the day I rather they take their time and when their ready to show it and talk about it, it’s in the best shape possible.

Probably because everything seemed to led to a launch this year and the “bad” showing. People are worried and nervous without good press. See God of War and TLOU2 ahead of launch has been shown in excellent light so no wonder there was no concern.

Many are passioned about Halo and want to be sure that everything is fine. Also it is a big shift for Halo semi open world, ftp etc. and yet we have no clue how this will translate into the game.

For me two things are clear:

  1. the soundtrack will be gigantic

  2. the gameplay looks fire

For anything else however there are big questionmarks

Question about Infinite -

Does the game utilize a one shot camera (ala God of War 2018)? Watching the July gameplay trailer, it seems like it does but anyone know for sure?

One of the rumors was it is attempting at a one shot Camera. Should be interesting.

Hi all,

My question for this is week is in relation to story/narrative. Halo has a rich history of story telling - either in game or in the expanded universe. If you could pick any writer to write the story of the next Halo game, who would that writer be and why did you pick him/her?

My thanks to the team and keep up the good work :+1:.

Replayed the Forza Horizon 4 halo special race and I have to say, i felt that the visual style in FH4 was closer to the original Halo Infinite trailer reveal

I agree with you. After the 2018 trailer I thought the Slipspace was built off the ForzaTech engine. Then the 2020 trailer happened… :joy:

hahaha true… I will go far as to say the visuals looked amazing in FH4 Halo Race and despite being ‘Clean’ felt sooo beautiful than the Halo Infinite showing and the Warthog looked glorious

It think that it much more important to have a overarching plan as to where Halo’s story is going.

This way you can drop in solid writers game by game, and still maintain narrative cohesion.

I really wonder if we’ll ever see 343 again in a mainline game. I haven’t read his latest books but it sure looks like his story is going to some crazy places.

We had an emergency You Had Me At Halo podcast covering today’s High Level Update.
