I don’t think it has anything to do with capping for Sony. He’s done some damaging report on them as well. It’s all about remaining relevant and Xbox gets the spotlight for bad. I do think news like this makes it clear where the agendas lie. This could easily have been spun to champion women in leading roles in gaming but it wasn’t.

He 100% frames things more positively for Sony. Sony hiring a woman would’ve been a landmark moment for gaming! But It’s evil when MS does it.

Looks like a good move. Can’t help but feel like there is some racist/sexist undertones going on from the doom and gloom naysayers. “Oh no what about the culture!” Do you mean the recent toxic culture or the culture from 30 years ago?

Who these days seems to focus more and more on plugging his books, even going as far as recently attaching one to a “news” article about the Blizz/Riot redundancies.
He’s replying to his own tweet here which links the main article that itself contains a direct link to buy the aforementioned title.
Says a lot about his motivations.
