It has a free trial that you dont need a subscription for, you can play the base game and the first expansion (Soon to include the 2nd expansion, as they are expanding the free trial)

haha id say only about 4500 of those are genuine actual play time, i more or less leave the game open always since its a very good social hub
Yes, i think 6.5 will be the last content patch for this expansion so the new expac should be out probably fall of next year
I don’t like the idea of MMOs too much, but from all I’ve heard, this is probably the one I would want to try the most (since I have no expectation that Dragon Quest X will make it to the west).
Do you know what the base game costs? I’m seeing 20 USD on the Steam and PS stores but the FF XIV page says 60.
They announced Dawntrail is scheduled for Summer 2024.
$20 for the base game. The $60 version includes the expansion Endwalker. But be advised that if you buy the base game you are no longer on the free trial and you will have to start paying the subscription once the 30 days of paytime included in the base game ends.
