Developer FROMSOFTWARE announced via Twitter earlier this week that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 servers for their titles ‘Dark Souls II’ and ‘ARMORED CORE VERDICT DAY’ will be shuttered on the 31st of March, 2024. The company states that the end of service for these titles is due to the deterioration of the servers that the games run on. These games, well over ten years old by now, will no longer be playable soon. If you’re consoles are still hooked up, make sure to make some last-minute memories with like minded fans of both games.
Note that the server closure for Dark Souls II applies to the original version of the game and not ‘Scholar of the First Sin’, available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Feel free to keep dying over and over again in that version of the game.
