Great interview and very good on the spot answer to a just released quote from the CMA.

Yes, very respectful answer and throughout the interview he praised Microsoft for being the most open and collaborative Big Tech company in the world. Microsoft is definitely not done acquiring and making partnerships, their tone and understanding of regulations is future thinking.

Neither of the Sonygaf’s (neogaf-resetera) really gave a damn about workers conditions or the health of the industry as a whole. They used that as a strawman to pound on MS but always ignore that crap when it’s Sony doing it.

The bottom line is the internet gaming community has a LARGE number of brainwashed Sony fans that are used to getting everything and also used to making excuses when Sony does horrible things.

This acquisition means no one can ignore Xbox and slap them around like a red headed step child, for these Sony fans that was a BIG part of their gaming hobby and now that is gone for them and they might actually need to access the Xbox ecosystem to play some games.

They do not like this new norm but honestly fuck them, they have helped make the gaming community completely toxic and unwelcoming due to their stupid fanboy takes.

Maybe after time these nutjobs will get used to the new norm.

You damn right.

With the holiday season coming up (and hardware bundles with Game Pass included) I think it’s safe to say that having all ages and kids content on Game Pass would help immediately.

So stuff like Crash and Spyro getting on sooner than later would make a ton of sense.

So Xbox now owns gaming.

So about the same energy as Lina Khan when it comes to trying to use union busting as a reason for going after big corporations.

Lol so the FTC responded and will continue their opposition and appeal. :skull:

What is there even to oppose with Sony signing and Ubisoft getting cloud rights?

They own enough of it so people dont really need to invest in other eco systems for the variety they want.

Literally walking into a death trap.

Honestly am hoping to see many revivals of past IP, whether its the likes of stuff like Voodoo Vice, Kameo Elements of Power, Starcraft, Hexen(Which screams to me that it will make a return alongside Singularity), Banjo Kazooie and Prototype. Just to name a few.

I would not sleep on Toys for Bob nor Raven Software and Infinity Ward, cause those three are going to be big gains for this entire acquisition alongside King .

And the longer it goes on the more evidence Microsoft will have that the industry is fine

Like imagine opposing once COD is on Switch or Switch 2

Does anyone care about the FTC at this point? They feel completely irrelevant now. Best they can do is try and sue or just offer recommendations their timeline doesnt allow for unwinding.

They’re better off ignored going forward. It’s completely over.

Speaking of, I wonder if CoD gets a small segment on the Switch 2 showcase. They had Todd making a video appearance with Skyrim on the Switch 1 event. Not that this would be the reveal of CoD 2024 or anything though.

Would be cool if Phil made a stage appearance (if it’s a stage show) to briefly show CoD running on Switch 2.

Yep, it would make a lot of sense to do this.
